I learnt to swim at the age of 7 at Dagenham Swimming Club, then returning at 19 for fitness. They asked me to do my level 1 teaching course (was called ppreliminary), I then worked for them once a week voluntarily. I then did my level 2 and ran the 'learn to swim' programme alongside my full-time job. When my eldest Ryan came along I gave up working full-time and became the Swim Co-ordinator at David Lloyd. In 2014 I had the opportunity to set up on my own and that is where Nataquatic was born.
I don't think I can pick 1. I love working with children but also love seeing the progression that they make week on week.
On my very first training session at 19 I met a young, fit competitive swimmer, who is now my husband.
